Buffalo bursts with color and community as Pride Weekend arrives, filling the city with celebration.
The festivities kick off Friday at The Banshee Irish Pub’s 21+ Pride party, where live music, drag shows, and dancing create a vibrant atmosphere, all in support of the Pride Center of Western New York.
Saturday brings Embodied Buffalo in Williamsville, offering free yoga, a wood-fired sauna, and wellness vendors—inviting everyone to relax and connect in an inclusive space.
That evening, Pridechella rocks Electric City with headlining drag stars and an energetic DJ set, boasting both non-alcoholic and classic drinks for all.
On Sunday, the Buffalo Pride Parade steps onto Elmwood, embracing the theme “Rooted in Pride” and honoring local LGBTQIA2S+ history.
The celebration continues on Allen Street with the Intersect Pride Festival, uniting artists, performers, and neighbors.

More than 100 law enforcement officers hit the streets Thursday to mark the 40th anniversary of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a cornerstone event fueling support for Special Olympics athletes throughout New York State.
Considered one of the most crucial fundraisers for Special Olympics, the Torch Run raises vital resources and awareness for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
The symbolic Flame of Hope traveled from NFTA Transit Police Headquarters to FBI Headquarters in downtown Buffalo, highlighting inclusion and opportunity for every athlete.
Thursday’s run held extra meaning as participants paid tribute to fallen FBI Buffalo members William M. Fallon and Leah Bellitto, whose dedication still inspires their colleagues.

Big Boy No. 4014, the world’s largest operating steam locomotive, is making its first-ever journey to the East Coast as part of the America 250 tour, celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Built in the 1940s and weighing a massive 1.2 million pounds, this historic engine will stop in Ripley at the State Street crossing on June 9, delighting rail fans from noon to 12:30 p.m.
Later that day, the iconic locomotive will pause at Buffalo’s Bison Rail Yard, while a public watch party is set at the Heritage Discovery Center.
On June 10, locals can see the Big Boy up close in Buffalo from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with free shuttles running from Walden Galleria Mall—no direct public parking available.
The tour continues June 11 through Silver Springs and across Letchworth State Park’s famous arch bridge.
